just like his ol' mentor Rousey. Brunson fuked his ass up lol.
Anyone watch this fight? Didn't think Brunson had any killer instinct in him anymore after his last 3 fights, but he poured it on.
also pretty fukin weird that izzy bleached his hair and Derek did too lol. Unless Derek did first? I dunno but that chit looks fukin ridiculous on both of them.

Shahbazyan threw some pretty hard shots in round 1, watching the fight I honestly felt it was going to be a matter of time before he landed a hard overhand right to drop Brunson and then finish him off.
Brunson is 36 and has lost 7 times, 5 times by KO/TKO. But he absorbed the shots and somehow had more gas than a kid 14 years younger than him. Shahbazyan was obviously in a daze going into the 3rd after the beating he took at the end of the 2nd and the ref was right to stop it fairly quickly as the kid was clearly done.
Back to the drawing board for Shaybazyan, the hype train is officially derailed.Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still here postin' in hhhnnnggg threads, beggin' for mod reps, and braggin' about whales you harpooned from POF, I'll f'in kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.

Great main card. Thought it was gonna be disastrous with the amount of cancellations and fight changes leading up to the event as a whole. In the second round, Brunson had that "Chuck Liddell with that look in his eyes" vibe lol. Going for the straight kill shot to open up round 3.

I actually had a nice green day with Bobby Green x Brunson parlay. The value was just too good. Shabhazyan has no top tier wins and he is physically weak, underdeveloped. Brunson was slow, not enough twitch to be a contender, but way too experienced for Shabhazyan. People really buying the hype if they put 100 on ES to make $25 lol.

as of now it's scheduled to be in Vegas at the Apex. The octagon at the Apex is wayyyy smaller than a standard cage, which should force the action much more in theory as there's not as much distance to circle, etc. Actually pretty fuked up to have a title fight there IMO. Who knows maybe they'll replace the octagon before it.

Yea buddy I jumped on that line real quick when I saw it.
If you look at Brunson's resume, he's fought top level guys. His Ls have been to champions and contenders. I don't know how Vegas got to that line.
There's a reason you don't have very young fighters having a lot of success in MMA, against the best fighters that is.

How the hell did Edmond “head movement” Taverdyan allow his fighter to go back out there in the last round. Seriously effed up. Trainers are there to first and foremost protect their fighter’s health but secondly, to protect their pride. Most guys would rather die than tell their coach to throw in the towel so a good trainer should be able to look in their fighter’s eyes and know when it’s time to call it despite what they are saying verbally.

Truly no idea why Edmen decided to let go of Brunson with 10sec left in the round, thought he was just going to hold on and survive the round but he let go and Brunson made him pay big time, not sure if he lost track of time or what but that was an idiotic move when Brunson was doing dick all from the top with 10 ticks left.
