Yes, I'm aware of all the domestic abuse stuff, but this dude seems capable of change, at least based off the way he conducts himself in interviews and what not. He looks like he's on a positive path, controlling his emotions, controlling his anger, working smart. I don't get the impression that he's an unfeeling Jon Jones type who doesn't give a fuck.

Maybe a dude who just has a few anger issues but has another side to him that is on positive waves.
 
Once a woman beater always a woman beater. Guys that domestically abuse women don't change their stripes.

That said, perhaps he has that aspect of his personality under control but we won't know until he snaps with yet another woman someday.

It's like OJ Simpson. Any woman dumb enough to date him after he got off with murdering his wife is batshit stupid. And yes he dated quite a few women post going all John Wick on the wife and her boy toy.
 
I will admit that he's more likeable beating up men. He may have found his intended career path.
 
Depends on your definition.

Throughout my life I have known lots of guys who hang out with complete assholes and explain it away with "they're not a dick to me..."

I imagine Greg Hardy could be a fun dude to hang out with. You might even hang out with him twice a week and never once see him be a dick to anyone, or backslap a woman. Consider, TS, would that make him a "nice guy"?

Now, "can he change"? Maybe. Some guys don't. Take a look at Chris Brown. Change starts with accepting that maybe what you did was wrong in the first place. He never did. Has Greg Hardy? I don't honestly know. But if he beat a woman badly and thinks he was justified, then no, he'll probably never change (though he may learn how to avoid situations where he might beat someone up).

I'm a huge Carolina Panthers fan so I remember the domestic case well. It was... well, complicated at best. It was far from a cut and dry "dude beats a woman" case. As far as I can recall, she never claimed he "beat her". Her claim was that he pushed her down on a bed full of guns and that caused the bruising. I'm sure some ugly things went down that night, but it isn't at all clear exactly what went down.

The Panthers' brass had warned Hardy numerous times about the people he was hanging around and she was at the top of that list of people they were warning him about. His volatility off the field is the main reason why they used the franchise tag on him instead of committing to him long-term. I can't recall any of the staff or his former teammates having anything bad to say about him personally.
 
He is starting to grow on me seems like a cool cat
 
He looks like such a nice guy, probably a church going american like Jones.
 
I don't think one mistake necessarily defines someone's entire being. To know if he's a good guy or not you'd have to spend some time with him.

But with his previous charge and the fact that he was reportedly let go from the Cowboys because he was a "bad influence" on his younger teammates... that's not good.

His intended career path should have been playing defensive end in the NFL and making 50x what he does as a fighter, but he screwed that up.

What I meant was I think his true calling was getting paid to punch people.
 
He beat up that woman and on top of that he was too big of an asshole for the NFL. The real reason he was kicked out of the NFL was not domestic abuse, they have plenty of domestic abusers they get a slap on the wrist. It was because he was causing problems with the team because of the way he acted. So no I'd say he's not a nice guy if he stands out as the bad guy in the NFL.

One time I saw Greg Hardy at a grocery store in Los Angeles. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Easy enough to validate. Google statistics on domestic abuser repeat offenses. Statistically guys that commit violence on women often have more than one offense.

We have internal data that supports it which is why they are flagged after charges of abuse. Unfortunately even flagging them doesn't protect their women. In too many cases the women won't press charges (even after they have called us in). There was one individual that had 11 different allegations and wasn't convicted once.
 
Mofo looks like a complete douchebag besides the domestic violence case.

He even compared himself to MJ, come on.
