I find total lack of acknowledgment of what Francis does in the cage here, as if people think he flails his arms around and gets a KO. Francis has better takedowns, better TDD, better hands, better kicks. He's an overall a better fighter than Gane. Being a good dancer doesn't win you fights. Knocking fools out does.

I agree Francis deserves more respect. However, in trying to give Francis respect you've taken credit away from Gane. You don't have to do that.

Also I disagree with a fair bit of what you've said there.

Yeah I exaggerated, Gane definitely won fights against the best.

Gane has 100% TDD defense, Francis has 70%
No way he has better kicks than Gane, better hands sure but his kicks are slow.
Francis was properly working on wrestling ever since Stipe loss, having a wide stance against a lot of his opponents since. The way he negated and ragdolled Stipe should've been a real eye opener. Most of the times Francis landed a kick, the opponent made huge reactions, while for Gane it is more of a distance management.

How doesnt it win him fights? Did he lose a fight that I missed?

I agree that people dont seem to see that Francis is a lot more skilled and talented than just a big dude bumrushing, but I dont see how that discredits Gane.

Yeah I agree. Same with that light heavy weight that people are sold on. Dont remember his name. But he look like a big Gunnar Nelson. And fight super sloppy.
Nikita Krylov?

I'll say it again, Gane is gonna pick Francis apart then beat him down. I can't even say he'll expose him, because we all know Francis is just the human equivalent of a semi-truck with it's driver asleep at the wheel barreling down the highway.

Having power does NOT make you a better striker. (only)

The technical ability is just as important which Gane is far superior at.

That and you seem to forget its a 5 rounder. Francis aint winning if it gets past 3 rounds.
Gastank in shambles.

I couldn't disagree more. Gane is likely to be a once in a generation type talent at HW, unless Jones does eventually make his debut in that weight class.

Ngannou can obviously still win, but he isn't schooling Gane in the Octagon although he may knock him the fuck out!

I agree that Francis technique is underrated. Just because he swings for the fences sometimes doesn't mean he doesn't have good hands. He is just THAT confident in his stopping ability that he doesn't need to get into a drawn-out jabbing legkicking contest most of the time.

However you can't tell me his technique is as good as Gane's. Gane is the most technical HW striker since prime JDS and Crocop.

He didn't ragdoll Stipe and he doesn't have the capability nor will for prolonged wrestling exchanges. He took him down and gave up pretty fast because (even with great position) he knows that he will gas out fast and that he can't hang with Stipe, which is only natural for a man of his stature and experience in wrestling. Figueiredo took down Moreno but he will never be better wrestler which is obvious. There are like 100 more examples but I will not bother.
