UFC Vegas 29 video: Seungwoo Choi flattens Julian Erosa with devastating first-round knockout

Seungwoo Choi was throwing with bad intentions from the second his fight started at UFC Vegas 29 and it paid off with a devastating first-round TKO.

With an opponent in Julian Erosa who was willing to stand and trade with him, Choi was launching bombs as soon as he came out of his corner. The end came after both fighters were stepping forward to throw punches, which led to Choi ducking down and connected with a hellacious left hook that put Erosa down on the canvas.

Choi had to throw a few more shots before the fight was actually stopped but the writing was already on the wall as he ended Erosa’s night at just 1:37 into the opening round.

“It’s something I’ve been practicing a long time during training the last few months,” Choi said about his fight finishing punch. “It just worked like magic.”

Coming into the fight of two straight wins, Choi was brimming with confidence as he went on the attack with little fear of reprisal despite Erosa’s own record of impressive finishes.

It appeared every time Choi was throwing a punch that he was looking to take Erosa’s head off but he was still technical with his boxing to ensure he didn’t take much punishment in return.

That’s exactly how the fight came to a close as Choi avoided a shot coming from The Ultimate Fighter veteran and then he connected with the left hook that put Erosa away.

Choi improved his UFC record to 3-2 with the win but this latest performance was definitely his most impressive to date as he picks up his first finish inside the octagon.
