Charles Oliveira Calls Out Conor McGregor, Paul Felder After UFC Sao Paulo
It’s been nearly two years since Charles Oliveira was last beaten inside the UFC’s Octagon and on Saturday night, he made a strong case for a push toward the promotion’s lightweight title.

The end came in just 86 seconds, one of the few highlights of an otherwise pedestrian fight card. It was one of the fastest finishes of the Brazilian’s career and his sixth win in a row — all of which came via stoppage. While it’s unlikely he’ll be at the top of the 155-pound heap in terms of a shot at the UFC gold, Oliveira’s upward swing has been impressive, to say the least.
“I came to the UFC to make history,” he said after his conquest in front of his hometown fans. “I never asked for bonuses inside the Octagon; I always focused on winning. This week everyone came to me asking if it would be a knockout or a finish. I said it didn't matter, I just wanted to win. My coach even told me that I should not seek the knockout, it would happen naturally.”
He was right. Gordon was hanging in there with “Do Bronx” while the fight lasted, but once Gordon was pelted by that right hand, it was over. Oliveira, who has always been a quality finisher throughout his career, wasted no time in vanquishing his adversary, keeping his torrid winning streak alive and well.
After the fight, the typically laid-back Oliveira took hold of the situation and called out a couple potential opponents.
“I never called out opponents,” he said. “I have always accepted all the fights. But I think now it's time, that is the reason I called out Conor McGregor and Paul Felder, who is the last guy that beat me. I want to prove that I am part of the group of the best athletes in this division. I'm not injured, I am 100 percent, I will be at the gym on Monday.”
