UFC Auckland weigh-in results: Felder vs. Hooker set, one bout cancelled at the last minute
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Auckland, New Zealand, this week for its first event in front of the Kiwi crowd since Mark Hunt knocked out Derrick Lewis in 2017.
The pivotal lightweight UFC on ESPN+ 26 main event between Paul Felder and Dan Hooker is set following the official weigh-in, but one preliminary card bout was scratched at the last minute.
Felder and Hooker are booth gunning for a shot at the winner of the UFC 249 bout between lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and challenger Tony Ferguson, so their bout in Auckland brings with it waves of importance.
Neither fighter was tripped up by the scale, as Felder weighed 155.5 pounds and Hooker 156 pounds.
No other fighter was felled by the scale, not even perpetual last-minute replace Angela Hill, who stepped in on short notice to face Loma Lookboonmee in New Zealand.
A preliminary bout between Maki Pitolo and Takashi Sato was scratched at the last minute when Pitolo fell ill. No detail was provided as to the nature of Pitolo's illness, but Sato still stepped on the scale and hit the 170-pound mark for their bout. Per UFC practice, he is likely to receive his show money for the bout.
With Pitolo vs. Sato cancelled, the UFC Auckland fight card will move forward with 12 bouts.
