The reaction to the scandal has been mixed with some condemning his actions as ‘morally outrageous’ while others believe it has been blown out of proportion.

The Manchester City manager did not want to get drawn into conversations about the scandal but did add he would not be sending anyone to spy on their next opponents Huddersfield Town.

“I cannot talk about what the other managers do so I don’t know,” Guardiola said.

“Here it is more different. It is private. It is closed but in other countries I’ve been before everyone does it.

“I’m not going to send anyone to spy on Huddersfield.

“In other countries everybody does that because they are open. When I was training at Bayern Munich it was people with cameras watching what we do.”
