Liverpool FC transfer news: Emre Can makes huge claim surrounding future at Anfield club

Liverpool FC transfer news: Emre Can opens up on Anfield future

Liverpool’s Emre Can has claimed he has all the qualities needed to play for a “very big club” next season.

The Germany international’s contract with the Anfield club expires in June and he has been heavily linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus in the summer.

However, despite failing to agree new terms with his current team, Can insists he will not make a final decision until the end of the season, but the team he plays for next campaign must be capable of challenging for the big prizes.

Can told German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung: “That’s what every footballer dreams of [to win a title] because that’s the reward for the work,”

“Sure, the Bundesliga would interest me, why not? Although I must say honestly that the level has waned in recent years.

“The Premier League has the power to spend more money on players than the Bundesliga . This is very, very important for players.

“I have the self-confidence to say that my qualities are sufficient to play in a very big club next season.”

The midfielder looks set for a move to Italy but Can, 24, did not rule out a move the other top European leagues with Real Madrid also reportedly interested in acquiring him.

Can added: “I’m doing great in England. The Spanish league is also attractive. The same applies to Germany, where tactics are concerned, and the Italian club football, which has recently caught up.

“Incidentally, the same applies to France, this league has now established itself as one of the best in Europe. Therefore, I do not want to exclude anything because I do not know what I will do from the summer.”
