God of War Ragnarok has been listed in the coming soon section of the PlayStation network and might be hitting stores earlier than expected.

God of War Ragnarok is one of the most discussed games on various forums since its announcement during the Playstation showcase two weeks ago. God of War enthusiasts are eagerly discussing the lore aspects, main antagonist and the release dates for the upcoming game.

On that note, Sony has seemingly listed the game on the official Playstation network under the "coming soon" column.

The game joins the likes of popular upcoming popular titles like Farcry 6, Battlefield 2042 and others slated to release near the end of this year.

The addition of the game nearly two weeks after the official announcement puts a question in everyone's mind - Is God of War Ragnarok releasing much earlier than what we are expecting?

God of War Ragnarok Release Date

According to the PlayStation list and studying the previous release dates of the popular Playstation franchise, God of War Ragnarok might release as early as March/April 2022 next year.

Nearly six out of the eight games in the popular series had a scheduled release in the Q1/Q2 financial period of a calendar year, with five of them in March alone.

With the developers confirming that the upcoming title will be reusing a lot of game assets from its previous entries and official gameplay clips, it may turn out to be true but of course, it also needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

A Playstation listing does not mean that the game will be available pretty soon as titles like Final Fantasy XVI have been on the list for ages, and no necessary details regarding its release date are available. As for now and until we hear otherwise, God of War Ragnarok will release at some stage next year on PS4 and PS5.
