Do you use Pinterest all the time? If so, then you’re no doubt aware of all the small issues and problems that Pinterest has.

Luckily, there are a bunch of super-easy ways to bypass many of these issues. Even if you think that Pinterest is a perfect website, there still might be more that you want to get out of it.

Firefox has many add-ons that address these issues and are incredibly easy to try out. Here are some of the best.

1. Pinterest Save Button

Pinterest Save Button is an add-on for Firefox that allows you to use Pinterest better than ever before.

The idea behind Pinterest Save Button is a pretty simple one. Suppose you’ve ever wanted to quickly and easily save something to Pinterest without going through any extra hassle or steps. In that case, Pinterest Save Button is here with the solution.

This add-on integrates a simple button onto any image that you see so that you can easily add it to Pinterest. It’ll appear when you hover over an image, or if you right-click it as well. Once clicked, you’re all set. The add-on does the rest to save it directly to Pinterest for you.

You can also use the add-on button in the top-right of your screen to access this feature as well. Doing so will scan the page for options that you can add to Pinterest as you wish. This is perfect for quickly putting together and making your Pinterest boards really stand out.

This is a great add-on to help you easily keep track of recipes, style inspiration, projects, and more. It’s unobtrusive, as well, so you’ll largely forget it’s there until you need it.

2. pinterest-guest

Next up, pinterest-guest makes its way onto this list. If you’re the type of person who’s always wanted to get into Pinterest or just find yourself using the site from time to time, but have always been held back by the need to make an account, then this add-on is for you.

As you might imagine given this add-ons name, pinterest-guest is an add-on that allows you to use Pinterest as a “guest”. That is to say, that you can browse Pinterest with no account, and still access content without any of the annoying pop-ups.

This is great if you can’t be bothered to make a dummy account using a disposable email address, or if you just don’t like the idea of your data being tracked through your account.

The add-on itself isn’t perfect, with some content on the page still asking you to make an account, but it’s largely ignorable. The core hurdles, such as blocked scrolling, automatic redirecting to the home page, and the hidden search bar are all removed.

If you’re not a fan of having to log into Pinterest, then these are the core features that stop you from being able to easily do so, which this add-on removes. Anything beyond that is largely ignorable.

3. Pinterest Downloader

If you use Pinterest a lot, then you’re no doubt aware of the problems that can arise when you try to download an image from Pinterest onto your hard drive. Pinterest Downloader is an add-on for Firefox that aims to try and alleviate this issue.

The core concept behind Pinterest Downloader is relatively straightforward. The add-on adds the ability to generate download buttons for any image on a Pinterest page, which you can then click to download directly.

The download button links back to the original, high-resolution image, not the thumbnail, so you’re never compromising quality for convenience. There are also two different colors for the download buttons based on whether the original image is a JPEG or PNG file, which is a handy little feature.

It is worth noting that there isn’t any sort of bulk download option with this add-on, which can be a pretty big deal if you’re trying to download a lot of files at once. For occasional saves and one-off downloads, however, this add-on is unobtrusive and super easy to use.

4. Pinterest Downloader Professional

If you’re looking for a more powerful downloader that’s definitely a little less user-friendly, however, then Pinterest Downloader Professional is the perfect add-on for just that.

As you might expect, Pinterest Downloader Professional is an add-on that aims to give you a wider range of download options than you might otherwise be able to achieve with just base Pinterest’s functionality.

Accessing the add-on is pretty straightforward. All you have to do is click the add-on button for Pinterest Downloader Professional, and you’ll be presented with various options to choose from.

Show all pictures in a table is probably the most straightforward and easy to understand of the options available, but it’s worth giving the others a try as well. Doing this will take whatever Pinterest page you’re currently looking at, be it your home page or a search, and insert the images into a grid.

You can select the images using the top-left corner, or click on the image itself, to show it at full size and in more detail. From there, you can save the images en masse—or simply save them to a picture list for later viewing.

What’s great about Pinterest Downloader Professional is not just that you can download bulk images from Pinterest, but the many other options that come with this add-on. For example, you can automatically select all images or just pick the ones that you want to omit and then invert your selection.

There are options for different sorts, such as by resolution or aspect ratio, and you can even set up slideshows of various images if you so desire.

Get More Out of Pinterest

As you can see, there are a whole host of different add-ons for Firefox which can change the way that you use Pinterest forever. The best part about them all, however, is how easy they are to add and remove.

With just a couple of clicks, you can give any of them a try, and with a couple more, you can easily remove them. There’s little reason not to give them a go; after all, you might just find something you didn’t know you needed.
