In for BB with GCU and $10 cert. The best looking bundle seems to be Target's with the Journal, no wonder it's sold out. The game not coming with the console bundle is classic Nintendo. Shouldve at least sold it bundled wit the game for $330 or something.

Ah man  thats so stupid. If the guide released the same day as the game I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Why would I need it a month afterwards lol. 

I wish gamestop had a better preorder bonus. Anyone know if buying via Walmart online and picking up in store will get you the bonus? I'm getting 2 copies so I might try one there.

I've got the console on preorder but I've been spending mad money. I'm still undecided on if I'll be picking it up or not. Case too. In for a penny in for a pound yeah? 

I bitched on reddit and SD about the game not being bundled and everyone acted like I was an absolute entitled monster for being disappointed. I thought most 3DS special editions and PS4 special editions at least included a digital copy of the game, but everyone yelled at me a lot.

PS4 yes most of the bundles like Death Stranding include the game. 3DS most no unless they costed a bit more usually. Switch also no.

 
I've been wondering if Targets will have any journals available the day of launch, but I dont know how launch day/preorder items usually work.

SD is a haven for fanboys, and not just of games - like, coffee machines and shit lmao. Then thrown into the mix oare mods and rogue agents defending their product. SD has become less of an informative app and over years has become more of a glorified advertisement for sales in which they get money for clicks. It's in their best interest to have every single thread speaking positively about products and deals. It's hard to tell if a user's post is from an idiot, a troll, a blind fanboy, an SD mod, or a representative of a product.

Thanks for posting. Super helpful list and I didn’t realize they were doing a bundle w/ the Bell bag for a lot less than getting them separate (at Best Buy). Changed my pre-order.

 
I haven't bought a guide at release in years, though I'm leaning to buying the guide for this at the current price ($17.99).

 
Bell "Bag" is almost a stretch, when it's only like 5" x 6" in size.  I'm afraid that my Tom Nook plush will steal it away from me while I'm sleeping.

 
Seems to be going in and out of stock at Walmart. I had to try two or three times to check out, but I got it working in the end.

 
I missed that GameStop is offering $10 rewards with purchase by 3/26.

GameStop announced they are canceling a midnight release due to COV-19 concerns.

Best Buy is being classified as an "essential" retailer since the sell items like monitors, chargers, etc. that are needed to work from home. Therefore they *should* be open for Animal Crossing release this Friday. Store hours may be different however.

Do those $10 promos usually apply for Digital orders as well? Definitely a game I'd prefer to have digitally, and if I could just grab it off the site and get the rewards I'd likely just do that.

 
I pre-ordered a physical copy on Amazon, but was wondering if it would be possible to change to a digital code instead WITHOUT canceling and re-ordering. I used a promo credit on this for $15 off (it would be expired by now) and don't know what'll happen to it if I cancel the order.

 
Just to let people know, the Journal that comes as a bonus at Target rings up for 1 cent. That’s right I said 1 cent. This happens a lot at Target with bonus items. The Yoshi magnets and Pokémon key chains also were only 1 cent. Just being able to get an employee to sell you one separately would be the problem.

Wish that was the case for me. I've had slits on the side of 8 Switch games (from Best Buy). Rarely ever happens for me with games on other consoles. Especially annoying when you pay $40+ for exclusives.

Mine shipped from target but it's fucking FedEx innovation or whatever and not even moving yet. I'm gonna get 2 copies from gamestop.

Can I return to target and keep the journal? It's on them for shipping it to me slow af.

They could have used regular FedEx, or usps priority or even first class would be preferable. Instead they cheap out and use FedEx smart post which is a guaranteed extra 2 days for me. Which would have been fine if they accounted for release day shipping and sent it on Monday. Now with the weekend I'm looking at Wednesday arrival at the earliest.

But yeah, I'm being unreasonable.

My AC NH finally shipped from Best Buy but it doesn’t look like UPS has it yet. I’m not optimistic it’ll get here tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me for Pokemon. Of course I got in on the b1g1 free zelda fiasco so I couldn't complain too much. I wound up just downloading Sword. Won't be trusting target with pre-orders ever again.
