My Best Buy Member Offer: Destiny 2 for $5.99/4.79

Don't forget to add in store pick-up to knock it down to $3.79!!

OK, in all seriousness, is there any reason NOT to pick it up for $4?

Thanks...I just ordered an XB1 copy for $0.17 out of pocket thanks to redeeming some Kellogg's Family Rewards points for a $5 BB gift card. $10 was too much to spend in my opinion, but 17 cents is more than fair lol.

Forget the $1. I somehow got free shipping and I'm no longer elite plus.
I got the $1 pickup offer AND they're shipping the print free because it was unavailable within 250 miles of me.

Now the only problem is getting rid of this unopened $10 copy I bought a few months ago... :headache:

Got my instore pickup ready for $3.79. It's a very good single player campaign, anyone interested who enjoys Destiny at all should pick it up. I bought mine at launch through best best for $37.99, had plenty of fun with it, then sold it on ebay for about $34. I'm picking it back up in the hopes of the dlc dropping down to about $12 in the far future and needing the vanilla disc to go along with it... Pretty much following how Destiny 1 went, and that was an awesome game by the end of its life.

Well worth it at this price point if you haven’t played. Just remember, you will be locked out of some things because you don’t have the DLC.

The main campaign was OK and well worth this price. Just treat it like a single player game and sometimes some randoms come in and help you. In that regard it's actually pretty cool! It's just not the epic we were all promised. Although it should have been on because on paper, Bungie with Activision funding should've guaranteed near perfection.

I suppose it's worth the $5.08 I just paid for it to be shipped (with the art print). Will I play it anytime soon? Hell no.
Yeah, I don't play FPS, but will pick them up when they get super cheap (e.g., COD, Battlefield, MOH, etc.).

Never played Destiny before but this price seems right to give it a few plays.

Does Destiny 1 have a good single-player campaign?

I don't play online at all, but would be interested in grabbing that for a few bucks if the single-player is decent. Heard 2 has a story and nice production values. Sounds fun enough to try.

EDIT: Forgot that D2 is an always-online game so cancelling this order. Thanks anyways, OP.

fuck it... 4 bucks? Why not? I'll do the campaign. If DLC ever gets really cheap I'll maybe consider it. Probably clearing inventory for the "complete" edition.

Yeah most likely getting ready to release a version with dlc. For $4.14 after tax I’ll take it. Thanks OP!

Main story was decent. Can't bring myself to go back go it for end game, but I enjoyed the playthrough. Worth it for sure to run through at this price.

Thanks, OP! Grabbed a copy. The bonus item was out of stock for shipping, but I just removed it from my cart and checked out the game. I really didn't need a mounted sketch of a laser gun laying around taking up space, anyway.

the base game for 5 dollars is worth it, you will find 5 dollars of value in the game.

the problem is the end game.....bungie has completely fumbled the entire concept of loot grind and weapon balance. sure if you just start with the series right now, then these fumbles are not near as apparent. but if you were with destiny 1 on launch day and the beta, the fumbles are clear as day. destiny 2 can kind if lure casuals into it, and completely alienate fans of destiny 1 and since casuals aren't going to end game grind it out and stick out, this results in a falling playerbase.

also the destiny 2 PvP mode, never recovered to my knowledge from its initial complete and total failure that at launch.

so....if you havent played it, play the story, its worth 5 dollars and the gun play will be fun for that. just be prepared for a never ending stream of BS if you get sucked into the end game.

either way....destiny 1, for 3 years was one crazy as hell ride thats for sure, and it had some unique moments i'll never get again in video game history. sadly destiny 2 will never even sniff such greatness.

Yes, it's hot garbage and so is Bungie imo.

They f'ed their loyal fans with XP gains by throttling it (players were grinding for XP to earn bright engrams) and stealth f'ed them again (when caught) by doubling the XP requirement and not telling the players. Bright engrams were a way to get your MTX/vanity stuff for free, but Bungie said: "we going to f*** you and see if we get caught" (after getting caught) "we going to f*** you again and see if we get caught again" (gets caught again)

Seriously, I know it's a business, but how ethical is that?

Wait 'til September expansion they said. It'll be good they said. F*** you. September is packed. You had your chance.

i see this guy played destiny lol.

but yep....crap like this(and its only a small part of bungies insane patches) is why the end game sucks.

but you'll have fun with the 5 hour campaign for sure.

Already hate this game... Took my puppy to Banfield. Forgot to go next door to BB to pick up my order. -_-

Price comes up at $49.99 for me. I’m signed in and everything. Am I missing something?

Edit: never mind. Figured it out. For $5 I’ll have my fun and move on. Thanks for the find!
