Pokémon Go Kalos event guide: Timed Research and rewards

Pokémon from the Kalos region are now starting to appear in Pokémon Go, so there’s an event to go with it.

From Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. until Dec. 8 at 10 p.m. in your local time, Kalos region Pokémon will be spawning more frequently and hatching from eggs. There’s also going to be Kalos region Pokémon appearing in raids.

Pokémon like the starters, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie, will be spawning more frequently, along with Bunnelby, Fletchling, Litleo and Noibat. The three starters will likely have a Community Day in coming years, so you may want to consider holding on to any high IV catches you may find.

There’s also a few special Field Research Tasks to complete that will reward the new Pokémon.

During the event, there’s also a set of Timed Research that will reward Mega Energy, as well as Poké Balls.

• Transfer 5 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Catch a Fletchling (600 XP)
• Give your buddy 3 treats (600 Stardust)

Reward: 15 Mega Charizard Energy, 500 Stardust, 800 XP

• Power up Pokémon 5 times (10 Poké Balls)
• Catch a Litleo (5 Hyper Potions)
• Use 5 berries to help catch Pokémon (5 Revives)

Reward: 15 Mega Charizard Energy, 500 Stardust, 800 XP

Step 3 of 6

• Catch 10 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Catch a Chespin (30 Mega Venusaur Energy)
• Make 5 nice throws (10 Nanab Berries)

Reward: 15 Mega Charizard Energy, 750 Stardust, 100 XP

Step 4 of 6

• Catch 15 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Catch a Fennekin (30 Mega Charizard Energy)
• Make 7 nice throws (10 Razz Berries)

Reward: 15 Mega Charizard Energy, 750 Stardust, 1,000 XP

• Catch 20 Pokémon (15 Poké Balls)
• Catch a Froakie (30 Mega Blastoise Energy)
• Make 7 great throws (10 Pinap Berries)
