Explosion rocks Las Vegas Strip outside Aria Casino leaving palm tree on fire as ‘car flees scene’
Footage showed the aftermath of the blast with burning palm trees
AN EXPLOSION and a fire erupted on the the Las Vegas Strip after fireworks were hurled from a car outside a casino.
A palm tree was set on fire outside the Aria Resort and Casino at the heart of Sin City in front of shocked crowds.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang - with some describing it as sounding "like a bomb" - at around 1am local time.
Footage showed the fire ripping through a palm tree in front of baffled onlookers.
No one is reported to have been injured in the explosion - and the exact cause is unknown.
But one witness reported seeing a white car fleeing the scene.

Las Vegas cops later confirmed they were investigating the incident, believing fireworks were hurled from a car.
In a video from the scene, TikToker Baby Khaled said he and other witnesses "heard an explosion" and saw a car speeding off.
Khaled shared a video of the vehicle, saying: "Let's find this car."
Other witnesses also took to social media to share videos of the blaze.

One witness said on X: "Bomb went off in Vegas. Or a large explosion. Harmon and the strip by Aria."
"Huge boom heard on Las Vegas Strip," wrote a second witness.

Another said: "There was a boom and then the tree was on fire."
In a statement, Las Vegas PD said: "We are investigating a small fire in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. The fire was contained to a small area and was extinguished quickly.
"It was learned that an occupant in a vehicle threw fireworks causing a tree to catch fire."
The explosion occurred a few minutes away from the Bellagio Hotel and Casino - the site of shooting that took place several days earlier.
Arizona-based YouTuber Finny Da Legend was named as one of the two people killed in the shooting.
The other victim was Finny's wife "Bubbly", as reported by Fox News affiliate KVVU-TV.
