Tim Hortons Taps Stompin’ Tom Connors’ Iconic Hockey Song

Tim Hortons has released a playful and nostalgic advertisement ahead of the big football game that celebrates Canada’s enduring love for hockey with reference to Stompin’ Tom Connors’ iconic Hockey Song. The new lyrics humorously acknowledge football while reaffirming hockey’s place as Canada’s favorite sport.

The ad was created in collaboration with Stompin’ Tom Connors’ family and publisher Anthem Entertainment. It will air during the Super Bowl. Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons, shares: "The Hockey Song' is a Canadian anthem – everyone knows the words, it's part of our Canadian DNA. So, when we thought about how to celebrate this weekend, we knew this was the perfect time to remind everyone that while we like football, Canadian culture is unique and that will never change. And even when we cheer for football, hockey is still the best game you can name."
