Micah Parsons is not a fan of the Carolina Panthers firing Frank Reich as head coach after just 11 games.

The Dallas Cowboys linebacker forcefully weighed in on Reich's abrupt firing, saying that Carolina's decision "troubles" him and calling the 1-10 Panthers directionless.

"I just don't understand the move," Parsons said on his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons. "How many times are you going to keep changing coaches?"

After running through everything that Carolina gave up to take Bryce Young as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Parsons pointed out the obvious.

The Panthers haven't surrounded Young with the necessary offensive weapons to win.

Carolina also didn't give Reich a winning roster, yet owner Dave Tepper fired another coach after already parting ways with Matt Rhule.

"You give up so much for Bryce Young and you don't know what direction you're going into," Parsons said.

The Cowboys linebacker made it clear that he believes Young will eventually be a "great QB."

But Parsons compared the Houston Texans' initial development of C.J. Stroud with the Panthers' handling of Young and said that Houston is clearly getting it right.

"I think what's crucial is what C.J. Stroud has, he has structure, they have a system, they're building around him, they're doing everything (they) can be to make him great," Parsons said. "They don't know how they want Bryce Young to be."

Parsons also drew a line between Detroit and Carolina, saying that Dan Campbell's success coaching the 8-3 Lions this season is an example of what happens when a franchise sticks by a coach with a vision and lets a team develop around its leader.

"You need a culture driver," Parsons said.

Then the Dallas defender volunteered a name for the Panthers as they begin another head coaching search.

The same highly experienced and respected name who currently is listed as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator.

"Dan (Quinn) is truly amazing," Parsons said. "He's one of the best coaches I've ever been a part of."

Quinn and Parsons are part of an 8-3 Dallas team that is staring up at the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East but still a Super Bowl contender.

Quinn has been linked with open heading coaching jobs in previous seasons.

He previously led Atlanta and took the Falcons to the Super Bowl in 2016.
