Dp, Gaethje got shots definitely. Who else is there right now. LW kinda dead at the moment. So I guess Justin is the challenge. The rest have canceled each other out. Literally all of them.

I noticed the UFC YT page uploaded past fights of Islam and Khamzat over a month prior to UFC 294.

Both fights of Islam (vs. Volk & Charles) have racked up over 2million views each.

Islam is one of the most popular fighters in the sport right now (i.e., one of the largest fanbase amongst active fighters).
Only guys that you could argue are over Islam are Jon and maybe Charles.
 
So now he is champ and will fight twice a year max.

It's where the clicks come from.

Spotify pays 3 grands for a mili clicks from the USA, similar from Germany. Now 1 milion clicks from Bosnia gets you what, maybe 200 bucks.

They value fan numbers from markets that buy ppvs and tickets.

Also obscure markets are a plus. High numbers look attractive to the public no matter where they are from. Like global chain reactions. More comments, talks, hype. It spreads.

Right he mentioned Leon. Subed him 10 years ago. I like that fight. If Leon beats Colby. But then Conor could beat Chandler and call for a shot. Justin is also waiting. Volk wants it. Many ifs.

The guy literally has zero defences against any LW contenders. Unless I’m mistaken, he has only one victory over an actual top 5 LW in real time. And that’s Oliveira.

His only defence is against the FW champion.

And because the UFC is beyond pathetic. And the privileged get those advantages. He gets to fight Oliveira once again in Abu Dhabi.

Does he need anymore love than that?

This is some naive shit going on in this thread. This is MMA in 2023. In one of the most stacked divisions in the game. Anything can happen.

Actually, i'd be suprised if he doesn't lose in his next few fights.
 
This video essentially made Islam look beatable.

Smart of the UFC imo due to how easily he Beat Olivera last time. Have to offer some intrigue to the fight to get more sales.
