Rumored Paul Felder is back

Don't know what he's hoping to accomplish? If it's just to fight and compete, make some money then I get it. But if he wants to make a run, I don't see this working out. Felder was a .500 fighter vs mid tier competition and never broke through into a being a contender. Now it 3 years later.

UFC 300 makes me think a Jim Miller match-up could be in the works. Jim hasn't made it any mystery that he wants to fight on that card and politely requested no more prospects or up-and-comers; he said he wants a fun legacy fight. Felder represents that. Furthermore, the two were already scheduled to fight each other back in the day, but Paul had to pull out late leading to Dariush coming in on short notice and beating Jim.

Not sure what Felder is seeing in the current landscape that makes him think he can climb the ladder. That said, maybe he just wants fun fights and some cash. Hoping he doesn't lose a UD and hissy-quit again.

"Again"? I thought he left the sport on pretty graceful terms the first time. He realized he was holding up the division by trying to do both the "semi-retired albeit ranked fighter" and commentator gig at the same time. Decided he wanted to transition to the latter rather than clinging to the former since the game had passed him by.

I don’t think he’s planning for a title run or anything. He started talking about coming back when KZ had his last fight and the send off was amazing (even if he got KO’d). He said he wanted to retire like that and ride into the sunset. A great way to end a career.

Felder has been very active and trained a ton. He’s been in ridiculously good shape. Not sure if he’s done any sparring or rolling or anything, but he’s certainly in a good shape. I’d guess it’s easier to come back like that.

Maybe he could fight Jim Miller @ UFC 300?

im pretty sure if he were to comeback it would only be for a farewell fight

I'm not sure about this, dude has a ton of mileage and doesn't really have much else to prove.
Anyways they could do him against either Jim Miller or Joe Lauzon IMO.

I don't think he's hoping to become a contender. I remember hearing TKZ retirement bout made him want to come back and since he never really had a send off fight he wants to do it now before it's way too late, I'm not sure if that's true tho or if my memory is screwing with me.

Jim Miller vs Paul Felder to open UFC 300 would be fun and enjoyed by fans

Dude beat me to it.
We share very similar thoughts brother lol.

If he does come back, do it at UFC 309 versus Jim Miller or bring back Marcus Davis

I’m not interested but if you are lucky enough to have a relationship with Danar and the ufc like that were you can retire, commentate, unretire for 1 fight and go back to a cushy desk job??? Why wouldn’t you???
