Bellator Dublin September 23rd

Bellator needs to invest in signing actual Irish talent or just put on better cards. They can't keep trotting out Queally, Ward, Clarke, and expect people to show up

They usually do very good ticket sales wise there … I understand what you are saying … They should use Gallagher if not injured again for this show …

I am just getting bored with seeing the same people at these events. Queally just lost to a 0-4 in Bellator guy, can they really justify putting him on the main card

I agree Bellator needs to sign more Irish talent and they need to win so the fanbase can grow. Eventually Queally's fanbase will dry up even though he was still a draw with the fans at the last show. I still believe Queally will attract fans but if he loses again going 0-5 his fanbase will be all but gone. Bellator needs another fighter that fans can get behind. Gallagher needs to get back on the fight ticket and needs to win.

yes but who is out there to even sign? Ireland is a small country with a limited amount of fighters, seems like Bellator already signs every half decent prospect they can find

There's not a lot really. There's Paul Hughes obviously but I'd be amazed if the UFC don't sign him. Shauna Bannon is promising but Bellator don't have her division and again I'd imagine UFC.

Maybe they could try for John Mitchell or someone like that but hardly top level. Maybe Ryan Shelley but the ones in Cage Warriors tend to be aiming for the UFC.

Yeah just checked the Bellator roster I didn't realize they have a decent number of fighters from Ireland already on the payroll. Bellator should continue to do very well attracting fans to attend future shows.

Surprisingly they have very few Brazilians in the roster. Only Cyborg, the Pitbull bros, Lima, and Neiman with any name relevance. Zero Brazilians worth a damn from MW to HW.

What actual Irish talent? There's like 1 or 2 blue chip prospects out of that entire country.

yeah but like others there comes a point if UFC aint calling you cant wait forever. I figured Hughes would have gotten the call already. Its possible they wait for contender series spot in the summer.

Too bad the actual Irish talent is kinda lacking in their roster imo.

Irish talent is lacking all over the world. Outside of Conor, there is only Ian Garry who is pretty good. Aside from that, the talent is really lacking all over the place.
