Once again, I'll say it:  Young teachers in their 20s should not  be teaching high school kids in their late teens. These young teachers see themselves as "still young and cool" and within their students' peer group, and as a result they end up farking their students with great frequency.

The rules should be changed so that a teacher must be at least 15 years older than the oldest potential student. That means nobody under 33 should be teaching high school. Even that has risks, but a 33-year-old is far less likely to think themselves one of the gang, and students are far less likely to see them as a young peer rather than as an authority figure.

This chick is 24 years old. This means she is basically fresh out of college. She may have been teaching for a couple years, max, and now her entire time in college  was wasted over a teenager.

You know, not every student is entirely happy with their grade or discipline being decided by the person who is using them sexually. To some young people, it actually feels like rape when a person with a position of authority over them coerces them into sex.

The kid didn't. An anonymous source did. And it was the right thing to do, because a person in a position of authority over a minor SHOULD NOT BE FARKING THEM.

Again, she was in a position of authority over this minor. If they'd met in the real world and she wasn't his teacher in any official sense, it might even be legal (depending on the state's age of consent). The problem is that she's, to dumb it down for you, "the boss of him". That means that any sex she has with him is rape. Period. Just as if she were a 24-year-old prison guard and he was a 17-year-old inmate. If she has sex with someone she has authority over, that's rape.

If the roles were reversed, and it were a 24-year-old male banging a 17-year-old female student, you'd hear half this thread calling for the teacher to be strung up, and half of them being creepy and verbally high-fiving the guy.

These threads are really disheartening. They illustrate just how many people at Fark are perfectly okay with rape "under the right conditions".
