The only thing that I found interesting about this article was that there are two groups, one for boys and one for girls, and that apparently the American Legion sponsors these groups in all states, not just Texas.  These are groups designed to teach leadership and the function of government, yet they're separated by gender.  Hey American Legion, just a thought, but how about you have one group and encourage members of both genders to work together and see each other as equals?  One of the biggest problems we have facing our healthcare system today is that our current legislature is dominated by men who see no value in  healthcare that benefits women.  They also routinely rebuke women simply for talking, you know, doing their damn job as an elected representative.  How about we put the genders together when they're younger to see if our legislators of the future can find some common ground and learn mutual respect for one another?  Just a thought.
