High and tight has been around forever, and worn by all different demographics at different times. I think every gay guy needs to start wearing it again so it scares the Nazis into tattooing swastikas on their foreheads to differentiate themselves.

Great-Grandpa had a Chaplin in pictures of him from the 50's & 60's He grew it out in the 70's, so that's how I remember him. Point is, the Chaplin didn't just disappear overnight in the 40's. Lots of old-timers, some who fought the Germans in WW1 (great-grandpa), kept the look after Hitler came and went.

I'm an bald (but not by choice) 56-year old punk rocker that gets asked if I'm a skin all the time. Sham 69 played in town on Friday and I got called up to the stage and asked if I was a skin but I told them I was just old and bald. I don't dress like a skin--with the braces and boots, and I have no tattoos-- but I'm a large man and I look a little Intimidating I guess. I shave my head once a month because my male pattern baldness looks stupid on me in my opinion.
The nazis now a days aren't all racists skins ( the racist skin will have very freshly shaved head and either white or red shoe laces in their doc martens) but some jock looking trump supporters with those stupid haircuts. They all don't listen to punk rock either, but to a weird Celtic metal with the extreme "white" imaging in the lyrics.

A guy with a shaved head and "White Power" tattooed on his neck can't get into restricted areas of the White House.

This is a conscious rebranding by Neo Nazi groups, started a few years ago by the BNP, the Brexit cheerleaders with at least philosophical connections to the old National Front.
They learned they could win city council seats if their leaders traded in their combat boots for suits and briefcases.
The Richard Spencer "alt-right" is the American version of that.

The haircut, while subtle, has gained popularity with them as it resembles a very common hairstyle among Nazi troops in World War II. They even nicknamed it a "fashy"

For the most part the Antifa guys know who the nazis are in advance. The scary thing is both sides are arming themselves.
No problems at the Sham 69 show though and there were a ton of trad skins there. The venue was on a very police-patrolled area of town and I think the cops were waiting too. Tomorrow is DOA and MDC at another venue, so we'll see if they show up there. Unfortunately for me I'll be working across the street doing a Hendrix tribute featuring Johnny Lang and Buddy Guy.
