Live: Writers Discuss Fiction, Truth, and Trump with David Remnick

Note: This event has concluded, but video of the event will be available on newyorker.com in the coming days.

The Public Theatre and The New Yorker present “The Stuff of Fiction,” the first installment of “Public Forum: A Well-Ordered Nation,” a new four-part event series exploring the Trump Presidency.

Tonight, our editor-in-chief, David Remnick, sits down with a group of experts in make-believe, including the playwright Tony Kushner; the poet, essayist, and playwright Claudia Rankine; and the author Salman Rushdie. Together, they try to make sense of this American moment, in which truth can feel stranger than fiction.
