Brands?

That's how he rolls.... Must have hurt like a motherfucker.

Yes, he's a part of the omega psi phi fraternity. Branding of the hooks is a common practice of that frat.

Well that's dumb as all hell. Good thing he's a pro fighter and not trying to get a standard job.

Very popular among the black fraternities where I went to college. Kinda cool IMO.

No different than a bicep tattoo. I forgot most "standard jobs" require at leave a half sleeve shirt. Ya know, like a polo or something.

It's called scarification, you're just now noticing this on him ?

Mark Anderson who used to play for the Bears had the same thing.

I'm from Australia and I know about that shit. If you're from the US or Canada, you're a bit dull.

Black people, their skin is so dark, it's hard to see tattoos. Typically, keloid scars form readily on people of west African descent. So this is an alternative.

While it may be dumb to you- for whatever reason, I highly doubt it would effect his hireability. It's on his upper arm easily covered by a dress shirt

I'm surprised it isn't more common on black people. As someone stated, tattoos are hard to see on dark skin. I knew someone in High School that did it to himself. He said it was painful as hell.

because it is fucking retarded

That's kinda weird, I associated branding with slavery, thought that would be the opposite of a "black frat thing".
