can someone explain to me, why would someone other than USADA want to impersonate USADA and collect an athletes urine?

Why would someone pretend to be USADA?

To then send the sample to a pretend WADA lab?

To write the athlete a pretend letter to tell them they are tested positive?

To ban them from sport?



I'd really like to hear some rational, sensible ideas on why someone would pretend to work for USADA and what possible detrimental effect this could have on the athlete

Well, you're right ofcourse, but a creeper fan could try to stalk someone in order to get close to them or some weird shit like that.. I guess..

A better question is, in which universe does a USADA agent not carry something to identify themselves with? Has this ever actually happened? And what would a good reason be for a USADA employee to not have anything credible to identify him or herself with?
 
I have the single largest privately owned UFC fighter pee collection in the world. Over 57 different athletes pee.

but that doesnt answer the question.. lets say, they arent from USADa, they are an imposter, an impersonator, what would they do with it? how would this negatively impact the athlete in any way?

ok, so this is a reasonable theory.

someone is collecting urine to frame you for murder.

it would probably be easier to get it from a hair sample, discarded cigarette, drinking glass, but yes, im sure there are some criminals that pee at the scene of their crimes.

The clause requires all active USADA members to carry ID's at all times when at work.
 
I agree. If someone knocks on your door and asks for pee, it's either USADA or one of the Machidas. It's either getting drank or tested for drugs. Nothing to worry about.

You have to have credentials or your just some dude asking for piss. Their is a chain of custody that must be followed or the sample is void. Having your credentials is part of that chain of custody.
 
Lots of weirdos in the world if anyone comes banging on my door at 5 am they better have some ID because I have a fucking gun lol
