Do you find it odd that fighters bring their kids to fights?

I mean, even if you don't get beaten up, don't you figure it's a traumatic experience for a kid to watch his/her father fight?

i figure they want to expose their kids to their career early-on, to make them unafraid of mma.

Maybe after the first time they see their father get a brutal beatdown. But if they see that their father is alright even though his face looks like hamburger meat, then it won't be a huge deal anymore.

It still won't be pleasant to see their father like that but once they realize he's relatively safe considering the rules and the referee, they know things will be fine.

Now learning Steve Mazzagatti is ref'ing your father's fight will probably give a child nightmares.

I think it helps the fighter fight better mentally. They know their kids are there so they MUST win. They can't let their kids see them get beat up.

Everyone has this idea of how to properly raise a child, what's right and what's wrong, and it's so different and there is no right or wrong way, really, as long as you teach and explain things to them.

I don't think a parent should be ashamed of or try to hide what they do from their kids. Especially high level MMA. Sure it's violent, but there's also a great deal of depth to the sport, discipline, hard work.

I know I watched wrestling when I was real young. What's the difference between pretending to hit each other and actually hitting each other, as perceived by a child?

I will say, when The Chris has his whole family there, that does seem distracting. It's not wrong tho. If that's what he wants and he's comfortable with it, then that's fine.

Mark Coleman started the trend when Fedor kicked his ass and brought his kids in the ring to meet Fedor. It was sad to see Kimbo's kid crying after Seth KO'd him.

I find it very weird.

Unless I was the baddest man on the planet, and victory was a sure thing, I wouldn't want my kids seeing me get whooped or beat up.

If strippers can bring their kids to work fighters may as well too

This world is hard, better to expose you kids to your chosen lifestyle young.
