It's like you kids have no idea who's real and who's not real in the age of USADA.

lol, even Gastelum would put a hellacious beatdown on Bisping.

No he wouldn't.

That cyclops needs to defend his damn belt though.

Weidman beats Bisping IMO. Would love to see this fight actually.

I honestly agree. Bisping is on a tear and Weidman is making me more and more conviced Silva would have beat him if he didn't fuck around the first time... he hasn't looked great.

While I do think testing has leveled the playing field for guys like Bisping, I think he loses his title in any of his next fights. He might be able to survive and out point Weidman but I seriously doubt it.

Hm good point. Yoel, Anderson Silva and Whittaker are the only ones who stand a chance against the potential MW GOAT right now. Weidman is a blown up gatekeeper who Bisping would tear apart

Doubt it.

He is pretty good a waiting until all contenders eliminate each other though.

Once he had Romero, Jacare, Weidman and Rockhold in front of him.

Now it's Whittaker. But he got injured.

Hell he might get GSP. He could get away with ducking MW top guys after all.

Yes, let's cherry pick a couple gifs to push an assumption.

Weidman is a nightmare for Bisping, based soley on wrestling alone. In the standup, Bisping may have an edge, but this is MMA. All Chris has to do is not over-commit like Luke did.

bad matchup for bisping. weidman could hold his own standing and would probably get the TDs.

at this point, I'd like to see bisping fight anyone in the top 10. there's enough hijacking of belts going on right now.

Bisping has one top 5 win in his entire career and since winning the belt is doing everything in his power to avoid them, calm down.

If by murk you mean slap box to a shitty points decision, you maybe have an argument.

But Bisping doesn't "murk" anyone. His Luke fluke was nice and all, but that mirage quickly disappeared when chinless old Hendo stood with him for 5 rounds and did tons more damage.

Seriously, Bisping is a smart dude and was hoping this would happen. Even Mousasi jumped in and took Wiedmans place as a contender, now looks like he is leaving the UFC. It helps that the UFC likes having Bisping as champ, he is recognizable, been around for awhile, and has charisma. So they will let him play his games to maximize his time as champ.

If they had fought last night. I could see Bisping taking him out at the end of one.

But, they didn't fight last night. And, bouncing back from the brink. May have helped instill some confidence back into Weidman.

Like if Jones vs OSP, had actually been Cormier vs Jones ll. I'm positve Cormier would have won.

This changes the dynamics a little. It'll be interesting to see Weidman's next fight.

But, he was almost gone. There is no denying that. But, Weidman was too heavy, and Gastelum couldn't keep him off. Bisping would have been able to get up. If he even got put in that position.

Someone with Bisping's grappling has nothing to fear against a fighter like A. Silva who never really tries to take people down with grappling (his takedowns are actually knockdowns). Bisping won't be able to let his hands go against someone with Weidman's wrestling. Gastelum is a stocky guy who has excellent grappling of his own, so he's hard to takedown and Weidman took him down in the first round easily (they were still dry) and still with relative ease later on.

Bisping is still a tough fight as he's one of the most well-rounded fighters in the UFC, and he always comes in shape, but Weidman overwhelms him in grappling so much that it will turn Bisping into a striking amateur (See Sonnen/Silva 1&2). Sonnen's striking is not and will never be anywhere near Silva's, but the threat of the takedown allowed Sonnen, of all people, Sonnen, to catch Silva multiple times with punches.
