From his poor days in cameroun working in a stone quarry at 11, to his difficult migration to France (which he decided not to tell), to his surprisingly good debut in the sport, here is a nice report on his singular story.

Some cliffs since it's not subbed :

- his mother said he was always a calm and composed guy. Never looked for troubles and did not like confrontation

- was homeless in paris when he first came

- learned MMA in 4 years in france. Started boxing at 22 in cameroun.

- too strong for his sparring partners at the gym (in the video, he just "mauls" the pad holder

- says the cage is the place he feels the safest. Fighting is a natural thing for him

- doesn't feel any anger towards his opponent. He's not his enemy. In one particular scene he checks on the guy he knocked out before answering rogan's questions

Great Man, seems really respectful

Restricted video.

Mmamanouvelles can die in a fire from this moment forward, for all time.

Video unavailable.

Ngannou is going to be HW GOAT.

Sorry about that guys that was a good footage. Will be out soon for other countries i guess

I can see the vid. Too bad it's all in french with no subtitles. Weird choice of background music too. Opera? The scenes in the gravel pit were interesting. The only tools are shovels and a pry bar. No sign of an excavator or loader. Looks more like old fashioned prison work than anything. Can't get any poorer than that.

Yeah it was "hand made". Someone said he worked faster than two men

That's grueling work. Says a lot about him as a fighter if he can match that in the gym.

Tried to find other link for those who have restricted access

Now available on Youtube ! No subtitles yet though

They should make a movie about Francis if he becomes champ

Francis is gonna be the GOAT someday. that dude is the future of the heavyweight division. I want to see him and Cain go at it sooooooooooooo bad. yes I wanna see what he can do against Stipe as well, but Ngannou and Sea Level Cain... OMG.
