When you watch Floyd fights they are mostly =Floyd's opponents chasing him all over the ring swinging and Floyd making them miss and countering them into bolivia, so what if McConor just refuses to do that and waits for Floyd. Could that potentially frustrate Floyd?

That would be fucking stupid

I don't mean not fighting tho, just waiting for Floyd to come to him instead of doing this:

Doesn't seem like it would do anything except make Conor look dumb. Floyd will have no problem dancing and picking his shots with Conor, he's a vet and one of the GOATs, he's not going to get frustrated

And I think that's a bad strategy for Conor. That's just not how he fights, and trying to outpoint or counter on Floyd is like trying to out-RNC Maia.

If Conor wants to win this he's going to have to get dirty and brawl, not try and outbox Floyd.

As a Conor fan, this is a very frightening image. Mayweather's speed and timing really are otherworldly - even when slowed down he looks fast. Makes me want to watch more boxing.

That's pretty muchbwhat he always does.
Don't be fooled by him always pressing towards his opponent. He leads with only a non-committal left arm punch to draw an attack from opponents. He stays at the edge of their reach and counters.
That said. McGOAT by KO, round 2.

1. That was a sucker punch no matter how you want to spin it

2. Victor Ortiz could have gotten up, but stayed down in hopes for a DQ or NC so he'd get the rematch.

1) True but it shows what he can do when he hits a fighter cleanly, and Conor does not have the world class defensive skills of most of Floyd's opponents in order to prevent himself from getting hit cleanly.

2) Perhaps he could have gotten up again, but not in any condition to be able to finish the fight.

Conor has the reach advantage and is a southpaw, I know I'm parroting others rhetoric but those are really two of the only things Conor has going for him. Conor may have big power, an awkward style with slightly different timing and angles than what Floyd is used to but that's about it...

Realistically Conor has no chance to beat Floyd but regardless Conor's best chance will be to do what he's used to doing. Use his reach, stay on the outside...hands low waiting for Floyd to come in on him and try to time a counter. While I think Conor will make visible improvements as a boxer preparing for this fight, it ultimately won't matter.

At the end of the day Conor's not a boxer though, he hasn't boxed since he was 14-15...he's been in an MMA gym since 16, traveling the world, Judo dojo's, tae kwon do dojo's, karate dojo's, he's had the same jiu jitsu and wrestling coaches for 13 years, he's flown in Ido Portal for movement based training geared towards MMA, he's flown in Dillon Danis for further Jiu Jitsu training, he's been sparring 5 minute rounds for the last 12 years preparing for 3 and 5 round fights, he's sparred with Kickboxers and mostly other MMA fighters, even when he trained boxing he was doing it for MMA purposes. He's not a boxer, sure he has skills that will crossover to boxing but you don't get prepared for a world class boxer in 8 months...let alone Floyd Mayweather. In Boxing they generally say it take 4-5 years to get your body prepared for a 10-12 round fight. The timing is different, the conditioning is different, the styles, angles, rules, round structures, the gloves, the ring, they are physically very different sports...It takes years for olympic gold medalist boxers to adjust to the differences between amateur boxing and professional boxing.....But Conor who's an 0-0 Pro boxer is going to do this in 8 months vs Floyd Mayweather? Get outta here.

You're probably not far off.

Conor is a "counter fighter". However, he doesn't wait. He lures you in, beats you by gauging the distance better than you, thus creating an opening for a counter that wasn't previously there.

This time, thought, he would be against a veteran of the craft.

So it will be interesting. It's almost "Pupil VS Master" scenario, without the "pupil" and the "master" having anything to do with each other.

(Yes, I'm bored at work xD)

Protect yourself at all times.

Don't deliberately headbutt someone (twice) and then try to shake hands after you did it.

I'm aware, I'm not saying what Floyd did was illegal but it was a sucker punch.

Only idiots think that this will be a "Fight". It will be a bigger snoozefest than the MayPac one. Infact I'm pretty sure they've had an arrangement of not engaging much. After all this fight is about money, not legacy or records.

Are you arguing with me or agreeing with me?
