As President Trump nears his 100th day in office, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll found that a historically low 42 percent of Americans approve of his job performance thus far. His efforts to keep jobs in the U.S. is one area of bipartisan support among heavy criticism of his judgment, honesty and accomplishments.

To be fair even if Trump cured cancer, balanced the budget, and stabilized the middle east there would still be a large group of people unapproving him because he's ''racist and mysoginistic."

Yeah, he's polarizing, his numbers probably won't go up much. He just needs to keep that base support and he'll have a chance again in 4 years.

only low energy people would already be tired of winning

INB4 Fake polls, fake news, hillary lost, same pollsters as before the election, etc etc

To be fair, you should stop making excuses for him that previous Presidents did not get. If he is a quality President, he should not need your excuses.

What did he say that was an excuse?

I'm not making excuses, it's just that there has been a witch hunt out on him since day one. Besides dropping the ball on race relations I don't think Obama did a bad job. I even voted for him twice. Obamacare kind of sucks, but that didn't effect me, so personally speaking Obama did alright.

The Democratic party just got too far out for me, so I voted for Trump this time around as I think he will provide a balance that this country could use.

"Moreover, while Democrats find solace in this national poll's results, the fact remains that ABC/WaPo find no evidence of buyer's remorse among Trump supporters.

Among those who report having voted for him in November, 96 percent today say it was the right thing to do; a mere 2 percent regret it.

And if a rerun of the election were held today, the poll indicates even the possibility of a Trump victory in the popular vote among 2016 voters."

That was not meant to be an attack on you, just a general statement that Trump is judged in the same way that every other president is judged. The witchhunt that you are talking about is in direct response to his words and actions as a candidate and president.

A "witchhunt" would be Trump spending years accusing Obama of being from Africa.

But.... the people "responding" to his words and actions are wrong. He's not actually a racist or "misogynist"

Oh wait, you're the guy that said it's Trump's fault if people interpret what he says wrong and consider him a racist over it. Nevermind.

Yes, a leader is expected and required you be able to articulate his ideas clearly enough that he has not misunderstood most of the time as you claim he is.

Not really though. The left has an obsession with labeling people based on nothing as a means to shut down any argument, so no matter what he says he will be labeled a racist.

Bring up black crime statistics? Racist! Call out Islam for what it rightfully is? Bigot! Try to convey someone as flustered with the same motion you do when you make fun of any flustered person? Mocking a disabled person! Say something mean to a woman even though you're equally mean to men? Misogynist!

He can't win with you guys so he shouldn't bother trying to appease you.

He's doing fine. It's half way through the 1st quarter and he's made a couple errors, his line and coaches have made one or two errors but for the most part he's doing what he said he'd do. The more informed pundits can see that the economy is heading in the right direction, consumer and business confidence is up, the military and vets are finally being supported, and the executive order on immigration is about to be redone so that activist judges can't unlawfully block it.

I give Trump a 7/10 so far. Room for improvement but the MSM had been on a hate mission since the GE. Being in the 40s is actually pretty good but either way, it's not too important right now.

Some people unfairly label people as racists, and they can be vocal. But are they 60% of the country? No. They are a small population that I honestly do not have any contact with, and I live in a pretty liberal state. Using those people as an excuse for his abysmal poll numbers is just a terrible excuse, and refusing to acknowledge his problems is not good for anybody in the long run. You are scapegoating.

People need to acknowledge the real reasons that the majority of people dislike Trump. Are you able to do that?
