I didn't follow much of the fight after the mid point of the 3rd as my poker tournament started again. But who was giving out the most useful and effective cornering advice to their respective fighter? Greg Jackson or Owen Roddy?

I don't think Artem would have won against Cub had Kavanagh or Mcgregor had been there, but I'm sure it would have given him at least moral support and some confidence knowing your best friend and head coach are their having your back. I have to say I'm kinda disappointed that Mcgregor wasn't there to support his best friend, but not surprised that Kavanagh rather be on tour to promote his book than to coach one of his fighters.

Owen gave solid advice and I didn't hear much from Greg.

Roddy told Punching Bag Artem he was doing "absolutely perfect" while Greg Jackson said "Knock his ass out!" in betweens rounds 4 & 5.

What was the solid advice?

As one example, Roddy told Artem to start pushing Cub onto the back foot, stop letting Cub back him up, and it did help a bit. Cub is just too good.

They enhanced Owen Roddy's coaching over the commentatots' voice at one point in the fight. Artem did pretty much what Roddy asked for landing some solid shots and pushing Cub towards the fence.

People like to make fun of SBGi coaches but from what I've seen Roddy is a legit striking coach with good amount experience competing in the cage himself. On top of that he seems like a really good person based on his vlogs.

Owen Roddy is a boxing coach now, from what I seen he is a decent boxing coach, he fought MMA for a while but his main strength is his boxing he Conors main boxing coach, yet Artem had zero head movement, Artem did loosen up a bit and got away from that head up style, but toward the end he started gassing and that did him in and he got lit up bad.

Roddy probably gave up knowing his fighter wasnt up to stamina and was gassing so he just starting to try and calm him down to build his confidence hoping maybe Artem could land a power shot.

Cub had Joel Diaz in his corner for his boxing who is a LEGIT real deal boxing trainer he coached Timothy Bradley to two world titles in boxing, and his family are all pro boxers and his brother was a former world champion

So Id say Cubs corner with legendary MMA trainer Greg Jackson combined with his grappling coach and his future hall of fame boxing trainer Joel Diaz was better than Artems.

In a roomful of Latinos, and one boxer, they all recognized Diaz immediately.

Cub has the better corner and its not close.
What Aterm's coaches needed to do is more prepwork, training head movement and feints and use of leg kicks.
Artem won round one due to a rather impressive amount of low kicks, then he just stopped. The corner should have instructed him to get back to those to slow Cub's movement...they did not.
