After the other thread it got me curious what people think.

Does Woodleys run and win over Wonderboy combined with Rory's loss to Wonderboy and shattered nose outweigh Rorys dominance over Woodley with a fight style that was similar to Wonderboys?
 
Nope, Woodley fights scared again and Rory 50-45s him.
 
Rory hasnt had an impressive performance in years. Before the Lawler slaughter i would of favored him but im not sure now

Everybody is saying Rory is done, but you can't compare Woodley's style with Lawler's

IDK dude. People who fight "scared", especially ones as good as Woodley, usually don't lose 5 rounds. Conservative fighting tends to win rounds when you're on that level.

I somewhat agree but Rory is one fighter that seems to do best when someone isn't willing to fight, Rory would pick his shots and pick Woodley apart IMO.

Woodley is a great fighter though, think he gets Conor next and wins it.

You really think Conor wants that fight? He goes down with the biggest pair since BJ Penn if he takes that one.

Doesn't have to defend his belt, gets another shot at a belt and doesn't lose any popularity but gains it.

Only loss in this situation he can take is brain cell damage.

Do people really not look at context when citing past fights?

A slaughter would be a penn vs Sanchez type fight. Rory was up on the cards before his nose broke.

Also, please don't try to misinterpret what I'm saying and say some shit like "so he was winning until he lost". Saying it in a way that makes me sound like I'm trying to discredit lawler.

Plain fact is that both their fighters weren't one sided beatdowns. How can it be dubbed a "slaughter"?


On topic. I still think Rory wins this. Woodley fights exactly the same now as in the past. Difference is that wonderboy feared the td to shit. He couldn't get off

Rory didn't fear the td. He found his range and picked his shots.

Woodley still circles the outside of the octagon with he back against the cage for the most part. Rory would probably do the exact same thing he did the first go around. He would probably piece him up for the entire fight.

I think we'll have a better understanding after the outcome of the Daley fight

A lot of people say that the Lawler fight might've changed him, he didn't look great vs. WB and it depends if he comes back vs. Paul hungry and puts pressure on him and deilvers a solid performance
 
I have a really hard time picking Rory against any elite fighters until I see his nose hold up through a fight again. That fine China shnoz keeps Rory from being in the argument for #1 ww in the world right now imo.
 
Shit I voted wrong. Meant to vote rory betting favorite, but Woodley wins. Woodley found a match of his skill to his talent and style. He out wrestle's rory now.
 
Tyron would absolutely be the betting favorite going into the fight, no doubt about it. They fought years ago and since then Tyron hasnt lost and has beaten the two guys Rory just lost too. Thats gonna make him the favorite.

As for who wins I'm not sure, if the Rory who fought Lawler showed up he wins, if the Rory who fought Wonderboy shows up I think Tyron wins.

Based on the Rory's last fight which is what I'm gonna go off of I'm saying Tyron wins.

But it all depends on Rory now.

Still Rory. Neither have changed much since that fight. Rory has taken more damage since...but Woodley wasn't landing on him in their first fight anyways.

The Rory that fought Wonderboy wouldn't look like the Rory that fought Wonderboy against Tyron. Two completely different opponents.

Rory dominated Tyron the first time around. Unless he's damaged goods he would do it again. Tyron lost the majority of rounds to Wonderboy and an argument can be made he didn't deserve to win either fight.
 
Woodley. I still think Tyron let Rory win in their fight.
