They use him in every promo for every fight. He brings in tons of new fans through his 900+ episode podcast. He is almost more well known then the company itself. He is also a super successful standup comedian. He is the undisputed voice of the UFC.

The UFC will be in deep deep trouble when Joe leaves. He is without a doubt their 2nd biggest star behind CMac and the biggest asset to the company.

I just talked to a casual who listens to JRE but doesn't watch mma or know anything about it

100% agree. Anyone hating is not looking at the objective facts. His podcast is massive and has a huge reach. Tens of millions of views and downloads a month. His stardom in the UFC is second only to CMac

CMac...is that what he's called now? what happened to "notorious" and "Mystic Mac"?

Joe Rogan is a lost boy; a head case. No real sense of identity.

In fact Joe is actually the reason fighters get 50% of the payperviews they get. When Joe is done with the UFC Conor would be lucky to break 1mil payperviews ever again.
 
It might be true, although Rogan has never been more unpopular at least on sherdog than he is now.
