When he turned 16 and got his driver's licence, he started training at Jorge Gurgel's gym and started fighting as an amateur at 16 and 17 with a fake ID.

still probably the most exciting technical striker in ufc history, would get in brawls but always kept his technique as clean as possible in those moments. his ground game was his achilles heal but if he fought nowadays he would be a rich man
 
Pat Miletich defended his UFC welterweight title four times and created one of the most dominant gym ever. Yet people don't even put him in the top 10 list of the best WW ever. By extension, most people don't know that Pederneiras fought for a UFC title.
 
I remember Dustin, and the lesson Bocek put on him.

He scored a couple decent submissions, then got dropped by serious hitters, dropped weight hoping to apply his grappling easier... Only to be tooled by Mark Bocek. Heart broken, McLovin retried.
