Would Jon Jones win a UFC openweight tournament with no USADA?

with or without USADA he wins no doubt.
the most talented fighter we've ever seen, assuming he was given time to put on a little weight he would be unstoppable
 
LOL Gus (his own size) smashed a roided Jones. JDS/Ngannou/Reem/Stipe/Cain/Werdum and others would murder him.
 
what? jones would win an open weight tournament? even when he was already caught juicing, he was only fighting at lhw. so why isn't he heavyweight champion already?

Roided or not doesn't matter. What really makes the difference is if he's partying or not. Sober Jones looked like shit against OSP.

Your chances vs. guys like Overeem or Miocic, who are bigger and even better strikers, don't seem that good.

Why do you think Jones avoids HW? Cause he needs his size, reach and leverage to win.

I don't doubt his greatness, but I believe his size advantage over the light heavies plays a larger role in his success than people think.

I don't think it's an accident he mentioned having no intentions of moving up.

Dude will never put weight on those legs or gain enough power to trouble true Heavyweights.

Sure he probably beats most on skill alone but don't see him ever competing consistently with the small handful of top heavies.
 
Openweight, not a chance. He's very talented, but he has trouble maintaining distance without eye pokes or outstretching his fingers. With the new rule being implemented, he'd either lose on points from fouls or DQ. If he can manage to not foul a bunch, I can't see him not being bullied by the larger and stronger heavyweights. I just can't see him getting past Werdum, JDS, Cain, or Stipe.

Beating DC proves absolutely nothing in favor of Jones at HW.

-That's called MMAth. It doesn't work.
-Jones didn't fight DC at HW
-DC wasn't the best HW nor he ever fought the best HW's. No, Barnett, Mir, Silva and Nelson were not the best. Overeem, Werdum, Cain and JDS were.

The only possible way Jones can prove he would beat the best HW's is by moving up and beating them. Given how he performs against big LHW's, him moving up seems highly unlikely though.

Jones gets severely overrated at times, he still hasn't established himself against the best LWH's from his era. Hasn't fought Rumble or rematched Gus and I can only imagine what the future GOAT Manuwa will do to him.
