Samara is Reborn in the First Trailer and Poster for RINGS

Paramount has released the first trailer and poster for Rings. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…

Directed by F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall), the film stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio. The film is produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. Rings opens on October 28, 2016.

Saw the trailer earlier, and it looks better than Ring2.

Not sure what to think about the airplane sequence.

And, as predicted if there was ever going to be another Ring movie, instead of a videotape, its an internet video.

On second thought, this might be as bad as Ring2.

It was scary the first time, now it's just cheesy.

Since when can the Ring girl kill everyone that happens to be around the person who watched the tape (airplane scene)?

Ohhh just watched trailer.
Agh my god is that hair she's pulling out of her mouth? Lol that scene is gonna wreck me to shit. I'm terrified of hair oh my god if that happened to me I'd just scream and kill myself :rofl

Also, if this is online video, wouldn't that make Ring chick a very busy girl? I think word would get around about the video and there would be a lot of people watching. Maybw they'll try to explain that in movie (and I'll not be satisfied with the explanation lol).

Maybe her prescence interferes with stuff, and would cause the plan to crash/malfunction? Idk man.

The first one was the scariest movie of all time. 2nd was kind of meh. I can't see how a 3rd one works. Will watch of course :)

If this series hadn't jumped the shark before, it certainly has now.

Also is anyone else a bit tired of these ghost movies where some random person dies and come back as a ghost with these seemingly unstoppable powers? These ghosts can do anything, appear anywhere, kill you in a myriad of ways and there is like no way to stop them.

Hollywood has been ripping off The Ring for the last 15 years, might as well go straight back to the source.

My guess: It will be better than the second one, but waaaaaaaaay behind the first.

haha, yeah The Ring really was one of those films that spawned tons of imitators and disciples. Kind of like when The Matrix came out and then that float fighting became ever present.

Don't forget Se7en. That movie changed the way films are lit. The look & style of that film was copied by every TV procedural cop/forensics show through the 90's, & 00's, up til now. And it also spawned a million wannabe psychological crime thrillers.

The closet scene at the beginning of The Ring scared the bejeezus out of me.

Oh, yeah, still gets me. "Her face". And when she comes out of the TV at the end that is like what the fuck.
Oh, and the two catholic school girls at the beginning give me a boner.

Just saw a TV spot for this one. Not sure if it's going to be worth a shit, but I'm sure I'll check it out.

BTW, everyone here is mentioning a Ring 2. Not sure if I was in a coma or if I have amnesia, but I don't remember there being a sequel.
