Dana White is contradicting Floyds claims and counter offers... basically this video sums up the retarded circle of floyd/conor/dana/news analysts trying to make this fight happen lol

UFC is going to use Floyds name like a rented tuxedo and never let him touch the octagon. Let boxing die.

I really think this fight has a super realistic chance of happening, but also one of those fights where the posturing just keeps on going and going and going, until both sides just say fuck it, and it eventually dies. Both sides legit want this to happen, but it won't, because both sides are coming from such different worlds, and this is the first time boxing and the UFC have a legit chance at happening at the highest and most popular level, that neither side will really know who to go to, to arbitrate this fight.

Remember, the Floyd/Manny fight literally happened, because Floyd's flight got cancelled one night, and he happened to be in the same stadium as Manny during a Miami Heat game. No joke.

I just don't see that happening in this case, and both sides are so far apart, and so foreign to each other in terms of connections, and a 3rd party help sorting this out, I just think both sides eventually give up. At this point, it's not even about the actual fight anymore, but the fight turned into the negotiations, and that alone is like a mega fight when it comes to Floyd. If Floyd can't come out looking like your daddy, and the king pimp, it's not going down. And we all know Dana will never let another man trump an entire organization.

That would make MMA look so bad, that a single guy is the A side to an entire organization. That's literally how it's gonna look if he gets his way. Conor and Dana are the UFC, and that's really how the fans see it. Dana would rather this fight not happen, and carry on business as usual, than have one man make the entire UFC logo look weaker than a single fighter from a different sport.

.
In other words this fight has the exact opposite of a super realistic chance of happening.

Hah I know, it basically boils down to not happening, but when I say it has a legit chance at happening, I mean, both sides legit want this fight to happen. If neither side truly wanted this to happen, and just talking about it to keep their names in the headlines, then I'd say, they're both BS'ing us, and wasting our time.

I just think neither side knows how to approach the table in a check your ego at the door type of way, where they have to act extra in the media and on camera.

Wish we could stop talking about this bullshit.

Floyd, Conor and Dana are just using each others names to gain attention.

And you fools are eating it up like PVZs muffler.

This fight would be a wonderful introduction to the rest of the boxing fans that haven't watched/enjoyed MMA yet. It could be bigger than TUF season 1, if Conor could last a few rounds.

Why would they use his name if boxing was dying??? let me guess "After Floyds gone.." they've said this for over a hundred years

Plenty of stars left in boxing

The longer this takes or it it happens at all, it's good for them both for PR. Maybe they don't even care if it all even happens. FM is just a memory without a fight being promoted. The UFC just wants to have headlines.

Floyd wants a lot of money uncle dana and the ufc can't pay because of teh debt WME has due to the purchase from the fertitias

Uncle dana wants to pay little money to Floyd but he knows Floyd can beat irish jabroni so he wants the biggest amount of profit without risking himself.

in the end if that fight happens the only ones losing here is uncle dana.

Floyd doesn't want this fight. If this was such an easy fight for him he'd take the 25 mill plus ppv and end up making his 100 mill. But he's a pussy and will continue to hide behind money

How does Conor lasting a few rounds with Floyd prove anything about MMA? Floyd hasn't KO'd anyone in a long while and his last one was a cheap shot vs Ortiz. If Conor is stopped at all Boxing is looked at as greater than MMA by boxing fans. Conor vs Floyd proves nothing we don't already know.

Every 5 minutes there's a new thread. who fucking cares anymore.

Both fans are snobby fucking morons, I say this as a Conor fan, Floyd fan, boxing fan, and MMA fan, it's difficult to explain the nuances to people when they just won't listen

I am not much of a boxing fan and much more of an MMA fan but fact is in a boxing match Floyd beats any MMA fighter even close to his size. In an MMA bout any boxer gets subbed by most any MMA fighter assuming they have any wrestling and subs. If you stand with a boxer you can get KO'd but you deserve it if you stand with an Elite boxer.

Yes Ray Mercer KO'd Big Timmy but that proves the point.

Indeed, I think there's both an issue of underestimating just what goes into being a well rounded MMA fighter, but also a bit of "well striking is more unpredictable than grappling so Conor stands more of a chance than Floyd would in vice versa" but the punchers chance in this case is so exaggerated, even a journeyman boxer could have a punchers chance against Floyd, but how big of a chance is that really?

Still just punching with shoes and gut protection. No other weapons. How can boxing continue with MMA around? The variety in MMA far surpasses boxing.

Ah, a fresh virgin in the sweet science, you'll learn
