What would either look like against GSP?
The new realm of money fights over deserved.
Maia same weight class, Khabib vs GSP size would matter no question ??
Someone enlighten me.

Big fan of both fighters, both want to get it done and finish, Maia is a anaconda, Khabib is a sledge hammer.
GSP no question all time great. In discussion of GOAT. Silva, my opinion no question.

Thing with GSP, why take unnecessary damage?? But he was all about control and not taking any risks period.

Dream matchups for me.
Even Khabib vs Maia what would be the outcome be ?
 
First post nails it. Neither would be able to get GSP down, and he would outstrike either.

I actually think Maia could cause GSP some serious problems. He doesn't need to ge the TD to put you in bad positions. Khabib would likely get jabbed to death and UD'd though.
 
Demian won't be able to get much done, Khabib is a tough fight but I think George edges a decision
 
GSP off the EPO and HGH under USADA testing get submitted within 2 rounds by Maia. Khabib is hard to say since he's fought exclusively at lightweight, but there is footage of him throwing around guys as big as Rockhold in training, and he probably walks around at a similar weight as GSP at this point, so who knows. He'd definitely get jabbed to death if he couldn't get him down though.

Re: the OP GSP probably beats both on the feet if he hasn't deteriorated significantly, but he's been out for really long...
 
I think GSP without a doubt beats Khabib. The size difference is too much , George has great TDD and has good sweeps and technical stand ups that will allow him back to his feet. Once on the feet Khabib is getting outstruck IMO.

Maia vs GSP would look like Rory vs Maia IMO. Whenever Maia gets the TD I think GSP gets back to his feet using a combination of technical stand ups and sweeps. Or at the very least can keep maia at bay the way Rory did. Once on the feet GSP lights Maia up with jabs and superman punches lol
 
GSP 50-45 vs both. Maia poses a bigger threat as he can pull guard and force an engagement, but isn't very strong against the cage, but Khabib is.. Khabib could potentially do it at 155.

GSP 50-45's Khabib - Strength, size and TDD. GSP would jab his face all night and would be to strong for Khabib to hold down. Khabib is strong as hell but weight-classes are their for a reason.

GSP might 50-45 Maia with the same argument but here I can see Maia as a former middleweight and an amazing grappler be able to take the back of GSP in a scramble and put him in the RNC. Harder to predict imo.

Edit: Maia submits Khabib with ease. To big (Former mw vs lw) and on a different level when it comes to pure grappling.

Would love to see both fights. Good thread buddy!
