No matter who you are, 25 million dollars plus a cut of the PPV revenue is a hell of a lot of money. It makes no sense to use what Mayweather earned in his last few boxing fights as the standard by which Mayweather should be payed for this fight. The reason is that Mayweather got that much money from fighting highly ranked boxers. Conor is not even a ranked boxer because he's not a boxer. McGregor is showing he's the bigger man by being willing to fight Mayweather under boxing rules.

If Mayweather were willing to fight Conor under MMA rules, then I agree he'd deserve to get paid more than what he's being currently offered for the risk he'd be taking but in this situation it's Conor who is taking the bigger risk. He's being brave enough to agree to the rules that Mayweather wants and with that, he takes a bg chance of being badly beaten.

The sport isn't about whos the brave one, if it was, BJ Penn would be billionaire

Even if you don't believe bravery is a big component of what MMA is about, Conor is taking the bigger risk by far. May weather is taking a relatively small risk fighting a man who has never had a pro boxing fight in his life under boxing rules. If the fight were to be held under MMA rules, Mayweather would be taking the bigger risk and that would warrant being paid more. Mayweather doesn't have the courage to go into another sport and fight one of the greatest competitors in that sport under that sport's rules.

Very generous offer, what an ingrate.

It's a good offer because Mayweather could walk off the street after five years of not training and destroy Conor in boxing. Free money.

Horrible offer. When it was all said and done Floyd cleared close to $230 million bucks for his fight with Paq. MMA fans are so well trained by cheap Dana White lol.

People forget that each " come back ". Mayweather has made, has been because of reported money issues.
He blows money like its going out of fashion.
And 25 large plus ppv is not short change.
Especially as he is not the top draw he was 10 years ago.

He may make that much money but he sure as fuck doesn't deserve that money. Kim Kardashian makes millions and doesn't deserve shit.

Mayweather does NOT want a fight with Conor.

..And it's not a money issue.

It's all pretty silly when there are plenty of guys in the UFC who would beat the fuck out of Conor. He doesn't need to go looking for a fight somewhere else.

Buying 250k watches will do that to you.

Also i find it funny that Mayweather Promotions boxing purses are not located anywhere online.

Dana White is bald and has no hair.

And he loves Ronda so much he hugged her for 45 minutes.

Lmao Floyd vs Paq wasn't even two years ago and he made over $200 million. He still makes bank, and is worth more than a BS offer of $25 million, plus PPV points. I'm not a Floyd fan, or even much of a boxing fan, but fucking MMA fans...

And just how many YEARS was this fight promoted ?
Long enough for Paq to be well on the slide.

I use to roll my eyes at the claims that the UFC hires people to troll on messageboards on their behalf, but after reading posts on the "Floyd vs. Conor" thing, I'm about to change my mind.

Sigh.. i really dont care about a retired 40 year old in a nother sport with broken hands.

It's maybe a good offer to you but clearly it isn't for Floyd. Why the fuck does Floyd need money anyway? He has made 100s upon 100s of millions and invested properly in business. 25 million maybe allot to you but it just isn't to him. Maybe you just cannot grasp that simple fact. He literally has endless money coming in monthly via investments etc etc.

It's not silly at all. None of the fights against other UFC fighters would draw nearly the amount of interest, publicity, or money as McGregor vs. Mayweather.

Dana's "offer" was a BS publicity stunt on Cowherd's show, not a real offer. If he were serious, Dana would've been talking with Floyd's team, but Dana didn't even know their names. And he knew Floyd would never fight for that amount.
