Both legends, with similar records, which are deceiving because they fought top competition from day one. Both champs of two divisions and extremely popular.

Imo Randy probably takes it as of now.. but if Penn can string some wins together late in his career like Randy did.. he could potentially pass him up

Penn was more dominant in his prime. He had that kind of aura that Couture never really had. I'd go with Penn.

Bj Penn was more talented.

I think Randy was a bit overhyped to be honest.

penn beat hughes who is still considered a p4p top 10 all time and also in a higher weight class. couture doesnt have any wins that good.

Yeah, Penn was undoubtedly the best in his division for a decent period of time. Couture never really had that.

Lw didnt have Fedor though lol

the answer is couture. if ur answer is penn, stop fucking watching MMA, cos you're fucking retarded.

I feel like the word retard gets tossed around like a salad.

Randy won 5 belts.....I doubt if Penn will ever catch him......

I would go with Penn. Other than the second GSP fight. He never really took a beating like Randy has taken.

thats like mm trying to break silvas defense record. it really dont mean shit cause the division sucks ass just like heavyweight did back then. thats why no one gives a fuck about mm or flyweight.

lw and ww have always been the premier divisions in ufc.

BJ Penn had 2000s type tough guy name.

Couture name belongs in the 1980s name.

Really? He beat gonzaga when gonzaga was deemed very dangerous, he beat big tim when no one thought he could, he beat chuck when no one thought he could, he beat vitor when no one though he could, same with rizzo. I think randy was one of the best ever because he beat so many fighters who were supposed to beat him.

Exactly......these fuggin' kids don't know MMA history......they talk shit just cause they like the noise!

It's randy by far. I feel like since he's been gone longer people forget about what he did

Lw is a relatively new divison to the UFC. Ww and LHW used to be the main ones and randy fought and won back when LHW was awesome. Even beat two of the best LHW of all time in chuck and tito
