Opinion: I believe he was serious about the fight, but he knew Floyd would refuse such low money, he did it to make McGregor look good, to make it seem like Floyd is the one running (atleast to the casual eye)

It's amusing how many people are questioning Dana's business tactics as though he doesn't know exactly what the fuck he's doing.

People on a forum questioning a business man that is filthy rich is laughable at best.

It's like when people question doctors man! Like that Josef Mengele! For Christ's sake he's a DOCTOR and you're NOT, you have no authority to question ANYTHING! :D

Dana was protecting his sport and trying to get the money ball into his court. Mayweather demanding $100 million and only offering McGregor $15 million makes the MMA fighter look desperate, like a lower being. White nailed it when he said that McGregor is the real draw in this matchup. So he offers both equal money and wants the fight under the UFC banner, so that their rakes can take in all the residual cash.

While your response was funny, for sure, the parallel is incorrect.

Does Dana strike you as a bad business man? If you say anything other than "no" you're delusional.

Dana White is an outstanding business man and his maneuvering is deliberate and planned. Whether or not it will work and we see the two of them fight is a different story. But don't think for one second that every move he makes regarding Floyd and Conor isn't calculated.

Conor is the "real draw" in that fight?? (which will never fucking happen)

Dude, if Floyd wanted to come out of retirement and fight...virtually anyone of note, he would get WAY more than $25 mil.

...whereas Conor cannot.

Conor is CHASING Floyd, not the other way around.

In closing, Floyd made more in his last fight than Conor will in his LIFETIME.

Dana's terrible, he rejected TUF, basically the UFC lifeline from going bankrupt in 2004-2005

Diana's business tactics?? You mean where you lose shit loads of cash and only survive because you have 2 billionaires shovelling cash on the fire? Then turn the corner after said billionaires buy all the competition and fluke into tuf, which was also failing till the last episode, after a near mutiny. Now he can flail around however he likes with virtually no consequences.

Dumbest thing I have read so far today

Thanks for pretty much backing up everything I said.

He's filthy rich. The UFC sold for 4 billion. He can do what he likes.

Sounds. Fucking. Smart.

He's filthy rich because he had childhood friends that were filthy rich.
He did not pop up and do this all by himself. He was also against TUF

I don't recall saying he did it all by himself, did I?

I'm saying that overall, Dana white has made solid business choices and has clearly done something right in order to get to where he is today.

I'm also saying that he's not just throwing numbers and propositions around without having an end-game in mind.

He was against the single thing that brought the company into the mainstream - TUF. He hated the idea

Ok, let me dumb it down so that even a microcephalic like you can comprehend. If I had the backing of people with unlimited cash, I could take over ANY business that exists today. Ie, I buy the entire McDonald's chain, lose money until I also buy Burger King and Wendy's. Still lose money until entire fast food industry is made illegal by federal decree EXCEPT hamburger chains. I then sell my chain for mega cash proving that I am star businessman.
Make sure you are getting enough oxygen while reading this.

The $25,000,000.00 a piece offer was a very generous offer. I do not believe Floyd Maywether is worth much more than that anymore. I would fight both Conor and Floyd at the same time for that kind of money.
