A well worked, albeit unexpected, goal.

Half-way heroics

Cameroon's Aboubaker seems to think he's Charlie Adam...

The ball only just reached... he won't want to be trying that again soon.

He's finding himself cut off by the Cameroon defence, but early on it's clear he's looking to dictate.

Cameroon aren't lying low, but Die Mannschaft are applying the pressure.

A Kimmich cross was just narrowly averted. Strong early signs.

It's a return for Claudio Bravo today. He's been out of action since injuring himself in the Manchester derby. Australia will want to check if he's rusty...

Claudio Bravo is making his first competitive appearance for two months

Sanchez looks eager

4mins: The Arsenal man races forward, finds space and chips the 'keeper.

Beautiful day for it

Sportsmail's Ian Herbert is live from the Fisht Stadium in Sochi, ahead of Germany's clash with Cameroon:

The climate is one reason why the Germans, who have been based here, want to win their group and stay for the Sochi semi final against Mexico next Thursday. They will be back if they can beat Cameroon by a bigger margin than a Chile win over Australia."

What's the situation?

Germany know a point will be enough against Cameroon at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi to book their place in the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup, with Joachim Low's youthful side keen to make a statement and join Portugal in the latter stages of the competition.

Over in Moscow Chile need to go about their business professionally and edge themselves over the line against Australian.

With one foot already in the semi-finals of the competition, Chile can afford to narrowly lose to Australia today and still progress. A defeat by two goals however would spell bad news.

14:46
Welcome one and all

Today's offering of Confederations Cup action serves up two treats in the form of World Cup holders Germany versus AFCON winners Cameroon and Copa America victors Chile taking on Australia.
