San Diego's hoped for MLS expansion team might be getting an unexpected name as Footy McFooty Face leads the poll.

Fans have been asked to vote for a name for the team, which is being backed by former Everton star Landon Donovan, as they plot a move into a brand new 30,000-seater stadium.

The ownership group - who are planning an £800million project to create 'Soccer City' - are keen to ask local supporters for advice.
