Wojciech Szczesny would prefer to stay with Roma if Arsene Wenger is still in charge of Arsenal next season, according to the president of the Polish FA.
The goalkeeper's loan deal with the Serie A outfit expires in the summer and he is due to return to Arsenal afterwards, where his contract runs until 2019.
The Polish international left North London for Rome in 2015 following the arrival of former Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech and Zbigniew Boniek insists he could stay in Italy if Wenger remains at the Arsenal helm.

'I had dinner with Szczesny and he told me that he would like to stay at Rome,' Boniek told Italy's Centro Suono Sport radio.
'If Wenger stays, I don't think he will go back to London, while his contract expires in 2019 anyway.
'I can therefore see two possibilities: either Arsenal recall him, or they name their price. It's 100 per cent certain, though, that he would like to remain in the [Italian] capital.'

Szczesny is Roma's No 1 keeper at the moment, missing only the club's Europa League and Coppa Italia matches.
The 26-year-old has helped Luciano Spalletti's side to a healthy second in Serie A, eight points off leaders Juventus with just nine matches remaining.
Szczesny and his Roma team-mates face a lowly Empoli next, who sit 17th in the Italian top flight.
