Otamendi has been a mainstay in the City backline under Pep Guardiola amid the ongoing injury problems of captain Vincent Kompany.

His agent said the Argentina international is not itching for a move away from the Premier League.

But Martin Sendoa admitted the 29-year-old would struggle to turn down a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

'Nico is happy at Manchester City,' Sendoa told Radio Continental

'But who wouldn't like to play at Real Madrid? It's the biggest club in the world.'

Otamendi spent a year in Spain with Valencia before moving to the Premier League for £32million.

And Sendoa believes Otamendi would be the perfect replacement for Pepe, who is set to leave Madrid when his contract expires this summer.
