Jagielka was a target for Sunderland in the summer as they considered a deal involving Lamine Kone though Everton blocked that move.

West Ham have enquired about 33-year-old Jose Fonte at Southampton also and Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho.

Jagielka has been a strong servant for the Goodison Park outfit since signing for the club in 2007 from Sheffield United.

At times this season the veteran has been at fault for conceding penalties on more than one occasion and Koeman is in the market for a young central defender.

The 34-year-old has international pedigree with 40 appearances for England and will not be short of suitors if his manager is prepared to let him move on.
