Transfer news: Borussia Dortmund fight off Tottenham interest to land German starlet Jeremy Toljan in £4.5million deal

German giants Borussia Dortmund are set to sign Tottenham target Jeremy Toljan for a fee of just £4.5million.

The full-back, who helped Germany to the European Under-21 Championship title this summer, has only a year left on his contract at Hoffenheim and was on the bench for his side's Champions League play-off round clash against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Toljan has attracted interest from both Tottenham and Italian champions Juventus, but he has opted to stay in the Bundesliga and join Dortmund.

According to Bild, Toljan will link up with Peter Bosz's side for a bargain fee of just £4.5m, leaving Spurs to contemplate on missing out on another transfer target.

The 23-year-old is set to put pen to paper on a contract with Dortmund with an official announcement expected imminently.

Toljan scored three goals for Germany in the European Under-21 Championship this summer and further boosted his standing.

He came through the youth ranks at Hoffenheim after joining from Stuttgart and made his senior bow in 2013.
