Transfer news: Chelsea and Tottenham miss out on Joao Cancelo as Valencia defender agrees Inter Milan move

Valencia full-back Joao Cancelo has snubbed interest from Chelsea and Tottenham and opted to join Inter Milan.

Both London clubs are in the market for a new right-back before the window shuts and they have been heavily linked with Cancelo.

The 23-year-old impressed during his 35 La Liga outings last term and Valencia have been bracing themselves for offers since the start of the summer.

As talkSPORT told you this week, Cancelo has also emerged as a target for Inter and now it appears as though they have won the race to sign him.

According to reports in Spain, the defender has now given the nod to a season-long loan at the San Siro instead of heading to England.

Canelo will join Inter on one-year loan with an option to buy, with midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia heading in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
