Liverpool FC transfer news: Naby Keita keen to leave RB Leipzig but German club demanding £70million
RB Leipzig have slapped a £70m price tag on Liverpool target Naby Keita - and he wants to leave the club.
The 22-year-old was a key member of the Leipzig side which finished second in the Bundesliga last season.
Keita scored eight goals in 31 appearances and his performances attracted the attention of a number of clubs across Europe.
One of those is Liverpool, who are reportedly pushing hard to try and prise him away from Germany this summer.
But he will not be a cheap addition to their squad with reports in Germany suggesting that Leipzig are not prepared to sell for any less than £70m.
Bild claim that the Bundesliga club are not willing to budge on what would be a record fee for Liverpool.
However, given his age and promise, Keita is likely to be worth even more than that in the coming years so the Merseyside club may not be put off.
It has also been suggested that the Guinean is open to a move away, which would only further encourage Liverpool to make their move.
