Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to break records, now becoming the first title in the franchise to make it 11 weeks at the top of the UK Video Game Chart.

GTA 5 has now overtaken GTA Vice City which managed a total of ten 10 weeks at the top in 2002/3.

FIFA regains second spot, switching places with Infinite Warfare. Ubisoft’s Steep is also a mover, up two places to seventh, which equals the game’s highest chart position. Overwatch also makes big strides, up eight places to claim 10th.

We finally see a couple of new releases enter the Top 40, fist Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King for 3DS at No.13, and then Sony’s PS4 exclusive Gravity Rush 2 which disappoints at No.16.

Resident Evil 7 will almost certainly chart in first place next week, but the real story will be how well it sells compared to earlier entries in the franchise.
